Massachussett's town holds "mayoral" race that turns into a catty clash with claws, charm, and carefully buried secrets in Somerville: 'It's a very hot race'

Happy Sunday, feline fam. One of the things we love most about working at the I Can Has Cheezburger offices is that we get to share all of the best feline-flavored things on the internet with you. From seriously silly to sincerely soul-soothing, we cover it all like your cat covers their business in the litter box. And on today's agenda, we've got a story that has the claws coming out. Things are heating up in Somerville, Massachusetts, and we're not just talking about the weather!

The people have decided to run a "mayoral" race for the stray cats in their area to ascend to the imaginary office of bike path mayor. It's a very prestigious imeowginary title, and it has all the kitty candidates putting out their best charm. All are hoping that none of their carefully buried secrets will be unearthed, but you can't put it past a cat to use some mischievous tactics in their favor. Who will win? Barry, the previously elected mayor? His orange opponent? Or Minerva, whose whole platform is simply "crime"?
